Service Times:  Sunday Morning with Holy Communion - 9:00 am

Weekly Bible Studies - 
Bible Study on 1 Chronicles will begin September 11th at 1:00 PM
The Chosen-Season 5 will be shown each Thursday starting on September 11th at 2:00PM 


UPCOMING EVENTS

August 24th "Blessing of the Backpacks" 

During the Sunday Morning worship service, we will be blessing children school backpacks.  Children can bring their own backpacks and a gift of supplies will also be given to each studen. 

September 7th

September 7th is the beginning of our Fall Worship season.  We return to our traditional Lutheran worship Liturgy at our Sunday morning worship service at 9:00 AM.  Sunday School for all youth through grade 12 will also begin that day at 9:00 am.  It is also our "First Sunday FIll the Food Shelf at CCVIM".  Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the food shelf at CCVIM.  

On September 11th, St. John's will be having a hoagie sale at the church.  Pre-0rders will be taken by members and the church up to September 7th.  Ham and Turkey hoagies will be nine dollars and the American is ten dollars. Any questions, please call the church office during office hours.

St. John's is an ELCA Lutheran congregation.  We are the oldest church in Mifflinville founded in 1792.  Our mission is focused on serving those in our community and around the globe.  We believe that all people have a special gift from God to help serve and to worship God in their own unique and special way!!

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

St. John's was founded as a Union Church with the German Refored in 1792.  We were known in deeds and documents as the "German Church" since our heritage were the German settlers in Columbia County..

OUR MINISTRIES

St. John's offer a wide variety of ministries.  We offer a Children's Learning Time on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 am  We also have a Vacation Bible School in June.  We have a Grief Support Ministry The Welcome Table a Senior lunch gathering and more!

WORSHIP SERVICE

We worship on Sundays at 9:00 am with a traditional service with Holy Communion each Sunday,  We have an adult choir, a handbell and handchime choir and occasionaly special guest musicians  We also sponsor our annual "Polka Mass" in October each year

There are many different ways to support the mission and ministries at St. John's From donation of non-perishable food items, cooked meals for the welcome table and through monetary giving.  Contact our church office if you would like to support our ministries.
