Weekly Bible Studies - 
Bible Study on 1 Chronicles every Thursday afternoon at 1:00 PM
The Chosen-Season 5 will be shown each Thursday at 2:00PM 


UPCOMING EVENTS

October 5th  Blanket Sunday.

The  First Sunday of October is commonly known as "World Wide Communion" Sunday.  It is alo Blanket Sunday co-sponsored by the Women of the ELCA.  They collect monies or knot quilts together which are then sent to Global Missions and used in over 140 different countries. 

October 5th - Blessing of the Pets. 

Sunday afternoon, October 5th at 2:00 PM, we will be having a "Blessing of the Pets" gathering at the pavillion across from the church.  All pets are welcomed, and the should either be on leashes or in kennels for safety reasons.  All are welcomed from the community to have their pets blessed in the fun gathering!  

        October 26th

The Annual Polka Mass will be held at St. John's on Sunday, October 26th at 3:00 pm.  The Polka Mass will be led by accordion  performers, Frank and Kathy DeLucca and it is a service of Holy Communion set to Polka Music.  Designed by a Roman Catholic Priest who is also a member of the Polka Hall of Fame, the service reflects on our German Heritage and culture of Polka Music.  Ethnic German foods will be served after the service.

St. John's is an ELCA Lutheran congregation.  We are the oldest church in Mifflinville founded in 1792.  Our mission is focused on serving those in our community and around the globe.  We believe that all people have a special gift from God to help serve and to worship God in their own unique and special way!!

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

St. John's was founded as a Union Church with the German Refored in 1792.  We were known in deeds and documents as the "German Church" since our heritage were the German settlers in Columbia County..

OUR MINISTRIES

St. John's offer a wide variety of ministries.  We offer a Children's Learning Time on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 am  We also have a Vacation Bible School in June.  We have a Grief Support Ministry The Welcome Table a Senior lunch gathering and more!

WORSHIP SERVICE

We worship on Sundays at 9:00 am with a traditional service with Holy Communion each Sunday,  We have an adult choir, a handbell and handchime choir and occasionaly special guest musicians  We also sponsor our annual "Polka Mass" in October each year

There are many different ways to support the mission and ministries at St. John's From donation of non-perishable food items, cooked meals for the welcome table and through monetary giving.  Contact our church office if you would like to support our ministries.
